FACEOFF 2009

The faceoff 2009 organized by playcentre in collaboration with Smirnoff ice held on the 24th of October,2009 at the international conference centre Abuja. The 1st edition was done in Lagos last year. This year it featured a lot of celebrities like; the mo’hits crew, 2face, p-square, kaffy, kel, sasha, lami Philips, 9ice, Noble Igwe, Ebukka, Darey, M.I, Jesse jagz, sauce kid, Banky w, Denrele, Naydo, styl-plus. The show scheduled to start at 6pm started late due to the bad weather, peeps who were glad to see their favorite artistes happily took pictures with them.. Finally, the show started at 9pm kicking off with the introduction of the artistes to the happy and excited crowd. Later, the challenge between Abuja celebs and Lagos celebs started with m.i, jesse ,ebukka, 2face, darey playing for Abuja sound sultan, 9ice, banky w, wande, dr sid playing for Lagos. Both sides showed a lot of skills and entertained the crowd well with ‘the short black boy ‘ making some baskets and shooting like kobe Bryant..hhaaaahaaa…trust the Lagos boys to impress by dominating the game. The next game was the female v male, starting for the female was; kaffy, sasha, kel, lami Philips and the guys; m.i, ebukka, jesse, darey, 9ice. The ladies showed the stuff they were made off by traveling with the ball and things (lol), kaffi however played well by making most of the baskets for her side and also sasha assisted her in making some baskets. All-in-all, the game was very interesting. After the game people were invited to an all black everything party hosted by noble igwe featuring kel @ play bar, where everyone came to party and chill out with the faceoff ballers and also to celebrate with kel over the release of her album ‘the investment’ and also the Abuja edition of slu..shh.

Abuja was d place to be last weekend and if u missed it well, lemme console u by saying ‘Ain’t no party like a Lagos party’ please Abuja don’t hate.
