This is a series for
upcoming young Nigerian designers who I
believe are set to make their mark soon not only in the local fashion industry
but internationally as well (crossed fingers..Lol). This is a platform to
showcase and celebrate not only the
creative talent of these young designers but also their entrepreneurial
skills at establishing fashion labels/companies.
First up in this episode is
Espionage Clothing and this label is described by its owner 'AK', as 'a quintessential and superior
quality men's accessory clothing company that is simple, savy and hip”.The
label was referred to by GQ Uk on twitter as a men's clothing company to look
out for in 2011 shortly before the company started operations that same year.
Espionage Clothing's focus is to
ensure that gentlemen get luxury brands at affordable prices and the company
prides itself in its simplicity and stealth products .This brand is for stylish
men (the products kind of make you think of the TV series 'Mad men') and
business men who don't wanna come off
looking too formal and are not scared to show off their stylish side
even with their 'boring work clothes' on. The accessories are to add a bit of
spunk to a gentleman's clothing.
For now 'AK', the designer, says
they deal in cufflinks, neckties/bow ties, pocket squares/hankies and for the
future he reveals his plans to delve into more gentleman’s accessories like
Belts, Tie clips, wallets, pens and he also aims for the company to introduce a
blissful collection which would be solely focused on providing accessories for
wedding Occasions.
This shoot is simple, classy and they seem to make the
accessories stand out more than the quest to make a fashion statement.. The
addition of girls to the shoot is
fascinating and quite impressive as it encourages the androgynous look
for the girls which has become a welcome trend these days. Love how you can
identify the ties by the inner green lining which the designer says is him
playing his own part in 'going green'....Lol
Enjoy;

Your blog is very informative. Eating mindfully has been very hard for people these days. It's all because of their busy schedules, work or lack of focus on themselves. As a student I must admit that I have not been eating mindfully but because of this I will start now. It could help me enjoy my food and time alone. Eating mindfully may help me be aware of healthy food and appreciating food.
